About Us
Divi’s Foundation for Gifted Children (DFGC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing and empowering children with special needs, disabilities, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Founded in 2015, DFGC is committed to transforming the lives of gifted and differently-abled children through comprehensive care, awareness, and inclusive communities.
Divi’s Foundation for Gifted Children (DFGC) aims to enhance autism awareness, assessment, and care through personalized therapeutic and developmental support.Through its Varnam Child Development centre, DFGC fosters holistic growth and inclusivity, enabling children with autism to thrive as self-reliant and happy individuals.
DFGC has also established the Indo-Canadian Autism Network (I-CAN Hub), a collaborative initiative that promotes knowledge sharing, training, and research collaboration between 11 Indian partners and Canadian autism experts. Additionally, DFGC conducted workshops on various topics, including “DIR Floortime” by Ms. Chitra, “Pediatric care” by Dr. Anthony Bailey, and “Using Visual Supports for Autism” by Mr. Merry Barua, providing parents and caregivers with valuable insights and strategies to support individuals with autism.
DFGC’s impact extends beyond autism, with collaborations with UNICEF on the “ASM Project” to address birth defects and developmental disorders, and with HIPpy Research Program to advance research on Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). These partnerships aim to improve diagnosis, treatment, and care for children with various developmental conditions, bridging healthcare between Canada and India.
As we grow, our mission extends beyond Hyderabad. DFGC is laying the foundation to reach communities across India, ensuring that more children and families have access to specialized care, innovative therapies, and the knowledge they need to navigate neurodevelopmental challenges with confidence.
