HIPpy
Research
Program
At the forefront of global pediatric orthopedics, the HIPpy Research Program stands as the world’s leading center dedicated to transforming hip health for children.
As an international, multi-center initiative, we relentlessly pursue advancements in education, clinical research, and optimized care pathways.
Divi’s Foundation for Gifted Children (DFGC) plays a critical enabling role in supporting the HIPpy Research Program’s global initiatives to improve pediatric orthopedic care, with a special focus on hip health.
Role of DFGC
Funding and Support
DFGC provides financial and strategic support to HIPpy’s collaborative initiatives in India and globally, enabling projects that enhance education, clinical care, and research in pediatric orthopedics, especially related to hip dysplasia and other hip conditions.

- Partners with Indian hospitals like BIRRD Tirupati to provide free pediatric orthopedic surgeries and enhance clinical care.
Developing Care Pathways and Registries
- Collaborates on the creation of standardized care pathways for conditions like Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) and cerebral palsy-related hip issues.
- Supports expansion of global pediatric registries (IHDR, SLIP, PedORTHO), collecting data from multiple Indian centers to improve evidence-based care.
Driving Preventative and Community Health
- Participates in eye care initiatives in Chennai to prevent avoidable blindness through mobile outreach and recycled eyewear.
